Watching children develop is one of the pleasures of being a parent. A good pre-school supports and extends the work of the parent. In our group we watch the children in order to:-
- Get to know them as individuals
- Protect them from harm
- Observe their progress
- Ensure that our provision meets their needs in all areas of their development
Our observations are made both formally (usually in written form) and informally (staff discussions).
Observations are kept on file and are confidential. We use this information to develop our curriculum plans and ensure that we support the development of each child as an individual, as well as part of the group.
